the haori

hou•ree; Japanese (羽織) hah•aw•ree

a traditional Japanese jacket worn over a kimono, resembling a shortened kimono with no overlapping front panels.

In search of a silhouette that embodies our value for ease and comfort, we have taken the Haori and imbued it with our signature patchwork, upcycled from vintage articles, adorned with hand-stitched sashiko (刺し子, lit. 'little stabs') a type of traditional Japanese embroidery or stitching used for the decorative and/or functional reinforcement of cloth and clothing.

This item has become a classic or some might say, a favorite among our friends.
